Botany Project

Ate Jen and Me, Lost in the woods :))

I took Botany 11 or commonly known as Veterinary Botany this 1st semester and part of the requirement in this course is to look for the UPLB Heritage Trees. There are 12 Heritage Trees and 6 are located in the upper campus and 6 in the lower campus. The challenging part was looking for the trees in the upper campus. It is really hard since there are trees that you must hike first to see and some are located at really steep places.

Since it was raining during the day, the soil in the upper campus is really soft and wet! I was not really prepared  in
doing this project. As you can see, my shoes are not for hiking "pang porma" :))

In looking for the tree named "Lola Dao" we had to go down a very slippery and steep slope. The soil
there was really wet and it was really muddy! I managed to the tree without that much dirt even though I slid
along the way three times.

This is the most challenging project that I made to date. It was really challenging for me because I suffered an accident last summer and I dislocated my left knee cap. The challenging part was hiking, my knee constantly hurt when we were hiking and when I slid three times just to get to that damn tree :)) but it was still fun and I enjoyed a lot! FULFILLMENT!
